Fyla’s legacy traces back to the Artinyan family, whose craftsmanship dates over two centuries in Istanbul. In the Ottoman era, Hamasazep Artinyan was renowned for his mastery in furniture and miniature object making. The family’s expertise evolved with gold wire production, laying the groundwork for today’s Fyla Jewellery workshop.
The legacy was carried forward by the son Jirayir, who trained in goldsmithing at the Grand Bazaar School. He expanded the family business, specializing in fine, handcrafted jewelry, enriched by the tradition of the Bazaar. With the establishment of the first gold furnace in the Bazaar, he marked a major milestone in the family's history.
Fyla remains deeply rooted in the timeless traditions and values that have shaped its journey, now sharing its legacy with the world.
